Shadow passed on May 16th 2011, she was THE dog that started it all here at Dutch Shepherds of Utah.
Mom (Sher) decided that we needed a watch dog around the house after losing our last one, we ventured off to the shelter
in Cedar City Utah. Must have been fate, we walked in and picked out shadow, did our shopping and went back to get her. She had to
curl up and "make herself little" to fit in the front seat of the small toyota truck we had. Knowing that she wasn't the breed the
shelter had her marked, Mom got online and started researching and we tracked Shadow all the way back through her previous owners and down
to the Kennel she was bred from in Arizona. One thing led to another and here we are with our wonderful dogs, and Shadow was the start of it all,
she taught us everything we know about this breed, the good, the bad, AND the ugly! She was an awsome yet stubborn, and very smart dog.
The first of our pack to come to us, and unfortunately, the first one to pass. We will miss her very much!
"Your true caring and dedication to your dogs, it (is) why i was so sold on them. You are a credit to the breed, and really do raise fantastic dogs. Thanx again for allowing me the oppurtunity to own one."-Joe
"In the wild, a dog's very survival depends on a strong, stable, and organized pack, and follows the rules established by the pack leader. The pack instinct is the strongest natural motivator for a dog." -- C.M
